more buncha nuthins

Today was the first day of taking care of Lulubean... Admittedly it wasn't a full day but its 8:30 and all is quiet in the Bales home. I put her in bed and she just passed out cold.  Thats what happens when you refuse to nap in the afternoon! We had a blast. Reading books, playing with the toys, walking and talking and shaking her head, testing all the places that she isn't supposed to touch and getting into just about everything.  She loves to be chased and will run toward you screaming and smiling. She got into the bread drawer and found a bag with one hot dog bun in it and proceeded to carry it around like it was a purse for the better part of an hour. She stood in my little antique rocker thinking she was hot stuff and reaching for all things forbidden...ie...the phones, a large glass of water, toothpick...she opened the trash drawer, taking out trash and repeatedly getting into trouble for it. (she fnally left it alone when she met her stubborn match with Uncle Danger). We took a bath, we unplugged the tub, she pushed her ride around toy all over the house ramming it into things, she dismantled her mobile that was hanging in her bed rather than sleeping and she ate fistfulls of macaroni and cheese and....I LOVED IT!!!! What fun! 

Aaron is packing for his move to the valley.  He will continue to be here for at least another week or so in order to work. He and Eric have found a place to live, as of this writing that is, and he is all registered for school. The countdown is on, school starts on the 29th.

I was asked about my dad the other day.  He is still living in the nursing home, there is no money to move him back home as he would need full time care and his home isn't equipped for living there as fragile as he is. He still wants to go back and we are still trying to get him there but it doesn't look possible, barring a miracle that is, which we are open to.  His health is no better.
